Our Story

Our organic beginning started in May of 2022.

However, the vision of helping women dates back to the year 2000. These two women, Gwen and Leilani became very connected due to their passion for serving women and children. They became best friends and established their own women and children’s home in San Dimas, California.

Leilani is the founder and CEO of a thriving non-profit, Millennia Ministries, in Washington State. This organization serves families that are facing homelessness. Leilani and her team have provided transitional housing for hundreds of women and their children. They provide resources to their surrounding communities such as housing vouchers, food, personal items, life skill classes, and self-improvement education to place families on a pathway to self-sufficiency. You can learn more about Millennia Ministries here.

In 2023, Ehmandah Ramsey, founder of She Stories felt called to serve single moms so She Stories Inc., a 501c3 non profit became a partner with Emmanuel Church and Millennia Ministries banding together to create a safe space for women and children to live while they work towards independence and self-sufficiency.

We believe that by combining our strengths, we can make a greater impact in the lives of women who are struggling. We are excited to see what we can accomplish together and look forward to continuing to empower women in our community.
